The DVC Women's Basketball team (28-1) defeated Mission College on Saturday, 84-42 and have advanced to the 3rdround of the CCCAA NorCal Regionals.
Sophomores Leilani Moncrease and Zahria Hendirx each finished with 20 pts, Moncrease had 12 Rebs and Hendrix finished with 24 rebounds. Both solid double-doubles to help their team advance.
Jahnay Anderson added 5 more three's to her record breaking season total, making that 152 on the year so far.
The Vikings are the No. 1 seed in the tournament and will take on fellow Big 8 Conference team, Sacramento City College at home on Saturday, March 9th at 7:00pm. A win on Saturday would send the Vikings down to Southern California to compete for a State Championship the following week.
Tickets for the game will be $ 12 General Admission and $8.00–All identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children less than 12 years of age.
