MO CHARLO
Former Basketball great who earned 1st Team All-State honors in both 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons. As frosh led team to Final Eight and most wins ever for Men's Basketball in school history (34-3). Soph. yr. led team to B.V.C. Title and a 2nd Final Eight playoff appearance. Former BVC MVP who transferred to University of Nevada-Reno, both jr. and sr. seasons Wolfpack went to NCAA tourney. Senior year named 1st team All-WAC. Earned Bachelor's Degree from UNR. Spent 12 years as a pro player. Played in NBA 'D' League (former all-star), Spain (European League), Japan Pro League (League MVP) and in the Philippines. Charlo is one of only 2 players in history of DVC Men'sBasketball to have his number retired.
JOE MILLETTE
Former All Golden Gate Conference infielder who played in major leagues with Philadelphia Phillies in 1992-93. DVC 1985-86 seasons, in 1986 led team in hits and runs scored while hitting .352 in GGC play. Team finished conf. with 21-6 record one game out of 1st place. Earned scholarship to Saint Mary's College and graduated with degree in Business Administration. Signed free agent contract after senior year with Phillies, played 10 years as a pro with 4 different organizations. Former co-founder of 'Get Up and Go' baseball organization and former asst. coach at St. Mary's College.
KRISTI JOHNSON
Former Track & Field State Champion and All Conf. Soccer standout, 1996-98. Earned All Conference honors playing midfield and defense for DVC Soccer team. Spring 1997 won 4 events at BVC championships and then won State title in Javelin. Spring 1998 won 4 events again at Bay Valley Conference championships and then State title in Heptathlon with 4684 pts. Transferred and graduated from Chico State with B.S. in Computer Engineering. Qualified for Nationals in 1999 at Chico, placed 7th in Javelin setting a new all time school record and earned All-American honors. Inducted into Chico State HOF in 2018.
BRANDON 'Spike' McDOUGALL
DVC baseball star in 2003 and 2004 seasons. Two time 1st team All-Bay Valley Conference West selection and in 2004 was the BVC West Most Valuable Player which earned him JC All-American honors. Led Vikings to post season playoff berths both seasons at DVC. One of only 2 players in school history to hit over .400 both years in conference games. 'Spike' has the highest career Conference B.A. and most career conference hits (98) in school history. Transferred to UC- Irvine where he graduated and signed with Marlins after senior season. Played 4 years professionally in the minor leagues.
JOHN BROWN
First ever DVC / HOF 'Volunteer/Service' inductee. DVC football and basketball P.A. Announcer from 1980 to present. Also has served as announcer for Baseball, Water Polo, Track, Swimming and other sport events. DVC volunteer to local High School outreach activities and in Student-Athlete orientation courses as well as other campus events. Spent 30 years as a High School Journalism and English teacher. Part-time instructor at CCC for 25 years and former H.S. Coach in multiple sports. Proud supporter of all Viking athletic teams. DVC's 'Chick Hearn'.
2008 STATE CHAMPION MEN'S SWIM TEAM
First swim team in school history to win a State Title without winning the conference championship. Became first swim team in the State since 2000 to sweep all State Championship Relays. Relays success made the difference in a tightly contested meet. Final standings: DVC 488 pts. Ventura 434 pts. SRJC 421 pts. Coached by Rick Millington
1972 MEN'S TRACK – 1ST SCHOOL GGC TITLE
In only the 2nd year of competing in Track on the DVC campus, Men's Track & Field team beats Merritt and others to win the 1st ever Conference Track Title in school history. Track is an original DVC sport , started in Spring of 1951 and before 1971 used local high school track facilities. Led by Jared Butler (1st in 100 and 220) and Jack Bentz (1st in 880 and mile). Greg Redmond won the High Jump and team also won the 440 relay. Coached by Gay Bryan.
