Cross Country Scholar Athletes Announced
2017 Men's and Women's Cross Country State Scholar Athletes have been announced. Congratulations to Kevin Orellana, Ata Ozmen, Jessica Mendez, Sayed Opeyany, Ben Schoffstall. These athletes all have a GPA of 3.27 or higher. The Viking XC runners have had a great season so far and are looking forward to continuing their success both on and off the course. Congratulations DVC XC! Last week Men’s & Women’s Cross Country competed in the Lou Vasquez Invitational at Golden Gate Park Polo Fields on Friday. The Men’s XC team finished 3rd overall in the meet with three top 25 finishes, 5th Kevin Orellana, 14th Luis Ramirez, & 21st Jordan Bandtell. The Women had two top 35 finishes, 19th Jessica Mendez, 33rd Alyssa Clark. Both Cross Country teams will be headed to Modesto on Friday to race in the Modesto Junior College Invitational.
