Women's Soccer lost to Modesto Junior College on an early goal in the 9th minute by the Pirates.
The Vikings had 7 shots on goal including a penalty kick but couldn't convert.
DVC's defense only allowed 3 shots on goal and Goalie Katey Wohlers had 2 saves.
The Vikings are currently 1-1 in conference and 1-4-1 overall.
DVC will take a break from conference play on Tuesday to take on the Fresno City Rams at 4:00pm at home.
