Women's Basketball Conference Awards Announced
DVC Women's Basketball is currently in the 3rd round of the CCCAA Northern California Regional Playoff Bracket. The Vikings defeated Santa Rosa Junior College on Saturday night and will host No. 7 CCSF at DVC on Saturday (3/7) night 7pm in the DVC gym.
The Vikings had two players named to the Big 8 Conference First Team. Nia Johnson was also named to First Team All-State.
Nia Johnson - First Team All-State & Big 8 Conference - Johnson averaged 21.1 points per game (#2 in Big 8) for the Vikings this year. She also averaged 7.5 rebounds per game and 4 assists per game along with 4.4 steals per game.
Ra'Anna Bey - First Team Big 8 Conference - Bey averaged 14.1 points per game(#9 in Big 8) this season for the Vikings. Bey ranked 5th in the Big 8 Conference in 3 point percentage with 33.7% and 3.9 rebounds per game.
