Julia Gonzalez named to CCCAA Northern California Women’s Cross Country 2010-2019 All-Decade First Team
Former DVC Viking, Julia Gonzalez has been named to CCCAA Northern California All-Decade Women’s Cross Country-First Team.
With the COVID-19 pandemic interrupting competition for nearly a full year, a collection of Northern California coaches including Chris Zepeda (Hartnell College), Rick Anderson (American River College), Nick Mattis (De Anza College), Dave Broznan (retired-College of the Sequoias), and Shelly Pierson (Diablo Valley College) helped nominate and score the 2010-2019 Northern California All-Decade Women's Cross Country Teams.
Diablo Valley College had one selection to the all-decade first team in Julia Gonzalez.
Gonzalez, a two-time CCCAA XC All-American, earned her spot as one of only 4 women in Northern California Community College history to win back-to-back (2018-19) individual NorCal championships.
Gonzalez also earned two consecutive (2018-19) Big 8 XC individual championships.
