On sophomore day, DVC claimed a decisive victory over Santa Rosa Junior College, winning 24-10. The Vikings showed impressive teamwork, with nine different players contributing to the scoreline.
Leading the offensive charge, Sofia Goodson scored 6 goals, showcasing her scoring prowess. Chloe Pappas, Olivia Sanchez, and Alenea Loera each netted 3 goals, while Lauryn Caguyong also contributed with 3 goals of her own. Supitcha Phoonpirom and Maddy Lasquete each added 2 goals, and both Alex Renderos and Tara Widemann scored 1 goal apiece.
Defensively, Chloe Pappas led with 6 steals, with Olivia Sanchez supporting with 3 steals. Sequoia Cosgrove Lane held the line with 6 blocks, while Sonia Kumari added 2 blocks to the defense.
