Women's Tennis battles at Big 8 North Tournament
The DVC Women's Tennis team competed at the Big 8 North Tournament last week.
Aysha Hayes, the #1 seed in the tournament finished second overall, losing in the Championship Match to Spindler from American River College, 6-3, 6-3.
Aysha Hayes and Haruna Yamada made the Doubles Championship Match and fell just short in a hard fought battle to Spindler/VanOrman from ARC, 7-6, 6-2.
Aysha Hayes has qualified for the State Championships in Ojai in both singles and doubles, while her doubles partner, Haurna Yamada, has also qualified to compete with her in the doubles tournament.
