Austin Kiraly named Head Football Coach (Interim) for 2023-24 season
PLEASANT HILL, CA --
Diablo Valley College Dean & Director of Athletics, Christine Worsley, announced today Austin Kiraly as its new Head Football Coach (Interim).
Austin Kiraly will enter his 3rd season with the Diablo Valley College football program in 2023, serving the past 2 seasons as an Offensive Assistant and Diablo Valley College Academic Support Center Program Assistant and Athletics Liaison.
“I am very excited about the direction of our program, and I am confident the staff that has been put into place will provide continuity and encourage the growth and development of our student-athletes contributing greatly to the continued success of the DVC football program”
Kiraly has assembled a staff he feels will build upon the past success of the DVC Football program. Kiraly has promoted current Vikings Assistant Coach, Dave Garcia, to Offensive Coordinator. He has also retained Ed Hall, as Co-Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers Coach.
Kiraly has named Travis Raciti as his Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Line Coach. Raciti most recently served as the Head Football Coach at College Park, where he led the Falcons to their 6th League Championship in school history. He also served as an assistant at DVC in 2019, where he led a defensive line group at DVC that sent 10 eligible defensive lineman on scholarship to continue their academic and athletic careers.
The Vikings are slated to start their 2023-24 season this September 1st at home vs. Fresno City College.
