Basketball | Gymnasium Construction Update

Women's Basketball Update

DVC Women’s Basketball team is 1-3 on the season with a 55-52 win over San Jose. The Vikings are led by Shadae Williams who is averaging 14 ppg and Chunice Carr who is averaging 12 ppg and 7 rebounds per game.

Men's Basketball Update

DVC Men’s Basketball is 4-4 on the season with wins over San Jose, Foothill, Alameda, & Feather River. The Vikings are averaging 82.6 points per game and 32.8 rebounds per game. The Vikings are led by Casey Cappo who is averaging 17.6 ppg/8.9 rebounds per game and Josh Niusulu who is averaging 15.8 points per game. 

Construction Update

Due to supply chain delays, as of right now, the DVC Basketball teams will be playing all Big 8 Conference games on the road. Dec. 28th both teams will open Big 8 play with a "Home Game" that will be played at Contra Costa College. The remaining conference home games will be played at the away teams' site. 

Should we find a solution sooner than mid-February, our intent is to meet the Big 8 obligation and host our home contests immediately.
