DVC XC Successful First Invitational for All
Despite the high temperatures and poor quality of air in Rocklin this past weekend, the DVC Men's XC team came within one place of a perfect score. Kevin Orellana (Soph) recovered well after an early slip and fall on the course taking 1st place. He was closely followed by Luis Ramirez (Frosh) at 3rd. The Freshman runners demonstrated their dominance by taking 3 of the top 5 places to assist in the Men's team victory.
The Women's team had strong performances, despite only having 2 ladies show up to race. Alyssa Clark (Frosh) beat her personal record by over 2 minutes and Arianna Gonzalez (Frosh) ran her first team related 5k.
This race was a great start for the Viking's season, but with more races to come the team looks to continue to work hard and get better each week.
