Six XC Runners notch All-Conference Honors

Kevin Orellana was the 2017 Big 8 Conference Individual Champion. Luis Ramirez and Jordan Bandtell were named to the All-Conference First Team. Sayed Opeyany and Parker Shields were named to the All-Conference Second Team. On the Women's team, Jessica Mendez was named All-Conference 2nd team. The Vikings had a great season this year finishing 1^st Overall at the Big 8 Conference Championship meet, 4^th Overall at the Norcal meet which was the highest finish in over a decade and finished 12^th Overall at the CCCAA State Championships. At the State meet, Kevin Orellana finished 15th overall (20:43) earning All-State Honorable Mention. Both females ran season best times: Jessica Mendez 19:59 and Alyssa Clark 20:47 on the 5K (3.1 mi) course.
