Bio

Ann Burris-Schultz attended Diablo Valley College (DVC) from 1990 to 1992, where she competed in cross-country and track and field. During this time, she placed in the top six among U.S. junior college runners in the 5K and still holds the DVC school record. She then earned a scholarship to Fresno State University, where she completed a B.A. in Communicative Disorders with an emphasis in Deaf Education, while continuing to compete in cross-country, indoor track, and outdoor track and field.

In her senior year, Ann competed at the Division 1 Nationals and finished the season with the 6th fastest time in the nation for the 10K. She is currently ranked 3rd on the Fresno State All-Time Record Board for the 10K and 5th for the 5K. In 1995, she was also the California/Nevada 5K Champion.

Following her undergraduate achievements, Ann went on to earn a Master’s degree in Health and Physical Education from St. Mary’s College. For the past seven years, she has served as the CYO Head Coach for the St. Agnes Track Team.
