Women's Cross Country has 3 runners named to All-Conference Team

The Diablo Valley College women’s cross-country team had a successful 2023 season. At the NorCal Championships, the team finished seventh overall which qualified them to participate in the 3C2A State Cross-Country Championships. Alana Sevier was selected to the Big 8 All-Conference team as well as the NorCal 2nd Team for finishing 14th overall at the NorCal Regional Championships. She was the first Viking to finish the race at States and in 71st place with an average time of 6:40 per mile. Her teammate, Alexia Hisquierdo and Elise Gramond were selected to the Big 8 All-Conference 2nd Team. With the whole team being freshmen student-athletes, Coach Pierson has to be excited for next season as they all have the opportunity to return and compete once again.
