The Women's Soccer team defeated Hartnell Panthers, 3-2 in a back and fourth match. Vanessa Ruvalcaba scored the first goal of the season for DVC in the 11th minute. This was Vane's 1st goal since coming back from a torn ACL that ended her 2017 season early. Hartnell's Oralia Perez answered with a goal of her own in the 36th minute which tied the game going into half time. The Vikes Marjan Haydaree would score her first goal in the 71st minute which was immediately answered by Hartnell who also scored in the 71st. The tie-breaking goal would come by Haydaree again in the 88th minute to put the Vikes up 3-2. DVC was scheduled to take on Cabrillo College on Friday but the game has been postponed. Their next game is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept 5th at Chabot College.
