DVC Track & Field Preview for the 2023-2024

The Diablo Valley College Track & Field Team is already bursting out the gate.

This year’s team is much bigger compared to last year with tons of new freshman stepping up to the starting lines. State Qualifiers like Desie Armstrong, who received a state title in the long jump, are returning to not only defend their stature but go beyond.

The team is competing in the Big 8 Conference but will be facing states from all over the state through various away meets. The athletes aren’t the only all-stars either. The coaching staff is beyond qualified, with resumes ranging from 5-40+ years of experience with some coaching at the elite level.

Be sure to keep an eye out for these young athletes as they are sure to turn this whole season on its head.

As Head Coach Meia Tezeno said herself, “Our student-athletes want to win, they work hard, and they love to compete. Every day of practice feels like a meet so they’re ready to be battle tested. Don’t underestimate us this year, we are VIKING STRONG!”
