Bio

Ken Harmon brings a wealth of coaching experience, having worked with top high school programs, including San Ramon Valley, Alhambra, and Amador Valley. His expertise extends to club coaching, with stints at 680, CCU, and Tri-Valley.

A former collegiate athlete, Ken attended the University of the Pacific on a four-year athletic scholarship, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry-Biology. His water polo journey began at Las Lomas High School, where he was recognized as an All-American in both his junior and senior years.

Beyond the pool, Ken is an accomplished ultra-distance open water swimmer. He is credited with swimming the length of Lake Tahoe as a charity event to raise funds and awareness for the San Ramon Valley High School pool. His commitment to leadership and community service extends back to his time as an Eagle Scout.

Ken is married to Marcia, and together they have a son, Ben, who played water polo at San Ramon Valley under Coach Corey and later graduated with honors from Pepperdine in 2019.

Believing in the core principles of success—punctuality, focus, and relentless effort—Ken instills these values in his athletes. As the legendary Hall of Fame coach Ron Richison famously said, "If in doubt, foul."
