Bio
Casey Hammond brings a strong combination of collegiate playing success and coaching experience to the pool. A standout athlete from Alhambra High School in Martinez, he set the school’s all-time single-season records for both goals and total points. Casey was a team captain, MVP, and a multi-year First Team All-Conference and First Team All-North Coast Section honoree.
At the collegiate level, Casey began his career at Westcliff University, where he started all 21 games, served as team captain, and set the school’s single-season assist record. He later transferred to Diablo Valley College, starting all 24 games, leading the team in assists, averaging a goal per game, and earning All-Conference recognition.
Casey has over two and a half years of coaching experience, including his current role as Head Assistant Coach at Diablo Valley College and previous coaching with CC United Water Polo. His leadership, tactical knowledge, and player development skills have made a significant impact at both the club and collegiate levels.
He holds an Associate’s Degree in Health Education from Diablo Valley College (graduating with honors) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences from Arizona State University. Casey is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration and Policy.
