The stage is set for the 2024 3C2A State Individual Tennis Championships, and Diablo Valley College will be well-represented as both the men’s and women’s teams head to Ojai from April 24–26 following a strong showing at the Big 8 Conference Individual Tournament.
Men’s Tennis:
Sophomore Jeff Jaymot and Ethan Husainali punched their tickets in both singles and doubles competition, showcasing their versatility and strength across the court. The duo has been a consistent force all season and will look to carry that momentum into the state tournament.
Joining them in doubles are Jonathan Garcia and Lance Topacio (FR), who earned their spot through gritty play and strong chemistry throughout the conference tournament.
Women’s Tennis:
On the women’s side, the all-freshman pair of Savannah Jose and Ezrielle Llave qualified for both singles and doubles competition, proving that the future is bright for DVC tennis. Their skill, poise, and resilience earned them a top spot heading into the state championships.
In doubles, they’ll be joined by Rainy Nguyen (SO) and Masha Dontova (FR), who battled through a deep conference field to earn their chance to compete among California’s best.
With a strong mix of experience and rising talent, Diablo Valley College heads to Ojai ready to make a statement at the 3C2A State Individual Championships.
