TENNIS | Postseason Recognition and Recap

* Jeffrey Jaymot was named JuCo Assistant Coach of the Year for Region 1 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

* Vaughn Asuncion, sophomore from Concord, was honored by the ITA with the Arthur Ashe award for Leadership & Sportsmanship.

* Head Coach Jackie Ponciano-Babb's Men and Women's Tennis teams both qualified for the CCCAA Team Regionals.

* The men lost a heartbreaker at home vs. Chabot, nearly upsetting them with a late push by Marvic Domingo despite missing one of their top players.  The men eventually fell 5-4.  The women fell to Foothill, 5-0.

* Chelsea Corby (Women's Singles) made the deepest run of any Viking in the 115th annual Ojai Valley Tournament, making it to the round of 32 out of 128.

* Roy Eldred/Vaughn Asuncion (Men's Doubles) and Karla Guerrero/Chelsea Corby (Women's Doubles) both made it to the round of 32.
