Coach Rashad Ross joins the Vikings for his fourth season as a coach. He recently coached 2 years at Vallejo High School and 1 year at Pittsburg high school.

Ross played college football for Butte College in 2009-2010, earning All-Conference and All-American honors both years. He later transferred to Arizona State University to play for the Sun Devils from 2011-2012 under head coaches Dennis Erickson and Todd Graham.

Following a stand-out career at Arizona State, coach Ross had a lengthy N.F.L. career as a wide-receiver and kick returner. Coach Ross played for the Tennessee Titans, Kansas City Chiefs, Chicago Bears, Washington Redskins, Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills, Arizona Cardinals, and Carolina Panthers. Coach Ross debuted in the N.F.L. with the Washington Redskins, on Thursday Night Football, and recorded his first touchdown, a 101-yard kick return against the New York Giants.

After his N.F.L. career coach Ross continued his success as a professional football player, starring in development leagues; AAF and XFL. Due to the pandemic caused by Covid-19, the league was forced to end. He went on to play in the CFL for one more year to complete his football career.

Coach Ross has the blueprint on how to be successful starting at a community college, to a 4-year college, then to the NFL. His goal is to develop young players and show them the way.
