Bio

Dave Garcia is a highly accomplished football coach entering his 13^th season at Diablo Valley College as the Offensive Line coach and has sent over 30 players to the next level on scholarship ranging from the NCAA Division I to NAIA levels of play. His track record of success includes six Offensive Linemen earning scholarships in 2022, developing 18 All-Conference players, and one CCCAA All-American. Three former players have continued their career in the NFL.

Coach Garcia's expertise lies in developing players with a tough attitude, while also teaching techniques utilized at the next level for the easiest transition after moving on from DVC. His ability to establish strong bonds with his players is a crucial aspect of his coaching philosophy, and he takes pride in seeing former players achieve their dreams of playing at the next level and succeeding post-DVC.

Coach Garcia was a standout player during his own Junior College football career at Los Medanos JC, earning All-Conference and All-American Honors. He went on to earn a scholarship to Fort Hays State University, where he started for two years and earned RMAC All-Conference Honors.

Today, he is happily married to his wife Tara Scarrow for 18 years and together have a dog they adore named Ruby.
