
DVC adds three new Head Coaches to athletic staff
Brandon Bailey

Brandon Bailey has been named the next Head Softball Coach at Diablo Valley College. Bailey served as the Assistant Coach for the Vikings during this past 2018-2019 season. He provided the Vikes leadership and instruction in the personal and athletic development of student-athletes. On the field, he was in charge of facilitating practices, game day situations and signal calling. Off the field, he facilitated recruitment of prospective student-athletes as well as academic progress and continued to expand relationships with high school and travel ball coaches in the area.
Bailey has been coaching softball for the past seven years and has served as both Varsity Head Coach at Fairfield High School as well as JV Head Coach at Vacaville High School. He is currently the Ohana Tigers Head Coach for their 18U Travel Team. The Tigers have placed on the podium at 60 tournaments and Bailey has helped 20 student-athletes achieve their dreams of playing softball in college.
Bailey received his B.A. from the University of Phoenix and is a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Granada M. Tezeno

Granada Meia Tezeno has been named the next Head Track & Field Coach at Diablo Valley College. Tezeno served as the Assistant Coach for the Vikings since 2014. She has over 14 years of coaching experience in Track & Field and is also currently the Head Track Coach for the Flying Jaguars Track Club, a position she has held since 2005.
Tezeno has worked with the sprinters, relays, hurdler races, multi-events, and horizontal jumps and specializes in academic success, and recruitment. Aside from coaching, Tezeno currently works as a P.D. Coordinator for Pittsburg High School, a position she has held since August of 2015.
Tezeno graduated with a B.A. in Spanish for Professions from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and she completed her masters degree in Education-Secondary Teaching at Brandman University in Irvine, California.
Andrew Welch

Andrew Welch has been named the Head Coach of the Men’s Club Lacrosse team at Diablo Valley College. Welch held many coaching positions during his tenure in the sport, most recently serving as the Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach at College Park High School in Pleasant Hill as well as the Gamecocks Lacrosse Founder, Director and Head Coach in Lamorinda, Ca.
Welch has been part of the East Bay Lacrosse community since 1992 when he played on the club lacrosse team at Acalanes High School in Lafayette. Welch continued playing club lacrosse in college at UC Davis, serving as the Vice President for the club as well as a captain on the team and a starting midfield player.
Welch graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Aquatic Ecology and a minor in Landscape Restoration.
