DVC Women's Volleyball Off to a Great Start

DVC Women's Volleyball started the season at the Blue Devil Classic on August 30th. In their first match, DVC lost 3-1 to Merced College. Isabel Villalobos led the Vikings with 13 kills and 16 digs. Vanessa Cuellar also had a solid match for the Vikings with 8 kills and 14 digs. The Vikings finished 3rd in the Blue Devil Classic by beating Modesto Junior College 3 games to 1. Isabel Villalobos also led the Vikings in the second match with 17 kills and 11 digs and Vanessa Cuellar finished the match with 7 kills and 15 digs.

 

The Vikings headed to Yuba College on September 2nd to take on Yuba College and Shasta College in a tri-match. In the first match of the day, the Vikings defeated Yuba College 3 games to 1. Isabel Villalobos led the Vikings with 17 kills and 20 digs. Vanessa Cuellar also had a solid match for the Vikings with 17 kills and 10 digs. The Vikings played Shasta College in their second match of the day and swept the knights in 3 games. Vanessa Cuellar led the Vikings with 17 kills and 13 digs.
