Noelle Lemos Leads the Vikings Past Seahawks

Diablo Valley College's women soccer team (4-0) beat Cabrillo 9-0 on Friday.  This was the highest scoring game for the Vikings since September 20th, 2004. The win for the Vikings was also the 3rd shutout of the 2017 season so far. Noelle Lemos scored three goals and moved up to 2nd in the state in scoring.

DVC had 6 different players score a goal in Friday's victory, including Noelle Lemos (Chloe Lindemann 15:00, Vanessa Ruvalcaba 21:00, and Marjan Haydaree 89:00), Vanessa Ruvalcaba (unassisted 21:00), Monica Caballero (Marjan Haydaree 28:00), Marjan Haydaree (Vanessa Ruvalcaba 36:00, Natasha Stridiron 78:00), Alexandira Dusauzay (Monica Caballero 53:00), and Maya Hymel (unassisted 84:00).

The Vikings played well on both sides of the ball and hope to continue their success this week when they start conference play and try to defend their Big 8 conference title. The Vikings host Cosumnes River College on Tesday at 3:30pm as well as Delta College at 3:30pm Friday.
