Men's Basketball looking to compete in 2nd half of conference play
The DVC Men’s Basketball team is 11-10 overall and 4-5 in the Big 8 conference. The Vikings went 4-4 in the first round of Big 8 play and are currently 0-1 in the second round. The Vikings are led offensively by Ben Wood, averaging 14.1 points per game, and Demarre Walker, averaging 13.7 points per game. Wood is also leading the Vikings on boards, averaging 7.3 rebounds per game. While the .500 record during the first round of conference play is not ideal, all of the Vikings losses were by 4 points or less. The Vikings are looking to turn the corner during the 2nd half of conference play this week when they take on Modesto Junior College tomorrow, and Cosumnes River College on Friday. Tip-off is at 5:30pm.
