Baseball receives Big 8 Conference recognition
Jared Bannister | First Team All-Big 8 Conference Utility | Bannister played first base as well as catcher for most of the 2018 season and was a huge offensive leader for the Vikings. He led the Vikes at the plate with a .385 batting average and .494 on base percentage and was first on the team in Doubles, RBI's, HR's, and walks. Bannister has committed to the University of Hawaii Pacific to continue his baseball career.
Jordan Williams | First Team All-Big 8 Conference Infield | Williams was a leader in the infield for the Vikings, playing shortstop for the 2018 season. He led the Vikings with hits and batted .330 on season and helped the Vikes turn 15 douple plays in the field. Williams plans on trying out for the Martinez Clippers, the new Independent Professional baseball team in Martinez, Ca.
Rob Towne | Second Team All-Big 8 Conference Pitcher | Towne was the ace for the Vikes on the mound this season, pitching 90.2 innings. He led the staff with a 2.98 ERA, recording 76 K's and finished with a record of 6-4. Towne has committed to Sonoma State University to continue his baseball career.
