Women's Water Polo battles at Cuesta Tournament

Diablo Valley's standout performance came from Madelynn Lasquete, who scored a hat-trick with all three goals unassisted in the third quarter. Her determination and tenacity kept Diablo Valley competitive, shrinking the gap at one point to just two goals (7-5).

Additionally, Sofia Goodson played a key role in both scoring and creating opportunities for her teammates, contributing a goal and two assists. Lauryn Caugyong added another crucial goal, while Alenea Loera contributed to the offense with a well-placed shot early in the second quarter.

Diablo Valley's defense showed moments of resilience, with goalie Sequioa CosgroveLane making 9 saves against Fullerton's relentless attacks. Despite the final score, Diablo Valley's defense remained engaged, forcing Fullerton into several turnovers (16 total).

Sofia Goodson once again proved to be a key player for Diablo Valley, scoring two goals and contributing one assist, while also playing strong defense with a steal. Her consistent presence both offensively and defensively helped keep Diablo Valley in the game. Lauryn Caugyong and Chloe Pappas both made notable contributions, each scoring a goal, with Pappas also adding an assist and leading the team with four steals.

Supitcha Phoonpirom added another goal late in the third quarter, showing persistence and a fighting spirit.

Diablo Valley's defense, led by Sequioa CosgroveLane, made several critical saves, especially in the second half, where they limited Orange Coast to just four goals after halftime, demonstrating resilience.

Sofia Goodson was a dominant force for Diablo Valley, scoring six goals, including two crucial strikes in the fourth quarter to give Diablo Valley a late lead. Her all-around play was supported by Chloe Pappas, who netted three goals and assisted on another, playing a pivotal role in keeping Diablo Valley in control during the early stages of the game. Madelynn Lasquete contributed an early goal, setting the tone for a balanced attack.

Sofia Goodson continued her role as the team's offensive leader, scoring two goals and assisting on another. Her goal late in the first quarter put Diablo Valley on the board, and she later added another in the fourth, showing her consistency and resilience.

Chloe Pappas and Eireini Priftis both found the back of the net in the second quarter, helping Diablo Valley reduce Cuesta's early lead. Monizha Azizi also contributed a goal in the third quarter, demonstrating that Diablo Valley's offensive attack could find ways to break through Cuesta's defense.

Defensively, Diablo Valley made key adjustments, as evidenced by their ability to limit Cuesta to two goals in the final quarter.
