Diablo Valley dropped a close 15–14 decision at American River. The Vikings led 3–0 early with goals from Patrick Aiello, Donovan Swann, and Ryan Lichlyter before the Beavers tied it 3–3 at the end of the first quarter.
Donovan Swann led DVC with 4 goals and 3 assists, while Patrick Aiello also scored 4 times. Ryan Lichlyter added 2 goals and 2 assists, and Preston Swann contributed 2 goals and 2 assists. Seth Venables recorded 4 assists, and Torben Wihlbiller and Keegan D'Arcy each scored once.
The Vikings held multiple leads through the third quarter but were overtaken late as American River scored four unanswered goals to close the game.
West Valley Bruce Watson Invitational
Game 1 - Diablo Valley 20, Ohlone 5
Diablo Valley earned a dominant 20–5 win over Ohlone at West Valley College. The Vikings jumped out to a 7–3 lead in the first quarter and continued to pull away, outscoring Ohlone 13–2 over the final three periods.
Ryan Lichlyter led the attack with 5 goals and 3 assists, while Caleb Raumann added 4 goals and 1 assist. Torben Wihlbiller tallied 3 goals and 1 assist, and Ashton Culpepper scored twice with 2 assists. Donovan Swann contributed 2 goals and 2 assists, and Seth Venables recorded 1 goal and 2 assists. Additional goals came from Reese Elkaim and Yuji Tan with one each.
Goalie Ruairi Murphy made 7 saves through two quarters, and Logan Blair added 5 in relief. Diablo Valley's balanced scoring and strong defense secured the decisive victory.
Game 2 - Diablo Valley 18, Cypress 15
Diablo Valley outlasted Cypress 18–15 in an offensive battle at West Valley College. The Vikings opened with a 4–3 lead after the first quarter and maintained control throughout, scoring at least four goals in each period.
Donovan Swann led the way with a dominant performance, scoring 9 goals and adding 3 assists. Ryan Lichlyter contributed 2 goals and 4 assists, while Keegan D'Arcy tallied 1 goal and 4 assists. Ashton Culpepper and Caleb Raumann each scored twice, with Culpepper adding 2 assists. Preston Swann also netted 2 goals and an assist, and Seth Venables provided 3 assists.
Goalkeeper Ruairi Murphy recorded 2 saves in the first half, and Logan Blair added 8 in the second. Diablo Valley's balanced offense and strong execution secured their second win of the day.
Game 3 - Diablo Valley 12, Mt. San Antonio 11
Diablo Valley battled Mt. San Antonio to a 12–11 sudden death win in the last game of the Bruce Watson Invitational at West Valley College. The teams were tied 2–2 after the first quarter and 5–5 at halftime. The Vikings took a 7–5 lead into the fourth, but Mt. SAC rallied with five goals in the final period to even the score.
Donovan Swann led DVC with 4 goals and 1 assist, while Ryan Lichlyter matched him with 4 goals and 1 assist. Keegan D'Arcy added 2 goals and 1 assist, and Preston Swann contributed 1 goal and 1 assist. Ashton Culpepper tallied 3 assists, and Seth Venables added 2.
