Big 8 Conference Championships on the Horizon for XC

The Diablo Valley Cross Country program will host the Big 8 Conference Championships Friday, October 26th.

The Men's team has 3 returners from last year's 2017 Big 8 Conference Champion team and work to defend their title on Friday.

Jordan Bandtell, Logan McNamar, and Parker Shields have been the top 3 runners this year for the Vikes, with Bandtell and McNamar battling for the top spots in each race with Shields not far behind. 

The Women's Cross Country runners will be looking to continue their success in the Championship meet as well on Friday.

Julia Gonzalez, Gaby (Emily) Orellana, and Ekaterina Uher have been the top 3 runners for the Women this year.

Gonzalez and Orellana have combined for a top 3 finish in all 5 meets this year and will look to finish strong in the Conference championship meet Friday. 

The meet is being hosted by Diablo Valley College and will take place at Hidden Valley Park in Martinez.
