Drew Downing and other DVC Vikings make the Big 8 All-Conference Teams

DVC sophomore catcher Drew Downing was selected to the All-Big 8 Conference baseball first team. Freshman shortstop Jordan Williams was picked to the second team. Downing led the Vikings in doubles with 11, and was No. 2 on the team 23 RBI. He had a .986 fielding percentage with a .370 runners caught stealing percentage. Williams led the Vikings at-bats (180), hits (52), runs scored (34), and stolen bases (nine). The Vikings finished the season 12-24 overall and 7-17 in the Big 8, good for seventh place.
