FINAL STANDINGS 

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS - Men's

* Diablo Valley finishes 2nd overall with 479 points behind Golden West College, who capture the state championship with 555.5 points

* Brandon James shatters a 15-year-old national community college record in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:44.95.  

* James wins the 100y backstroke (48.32), James had already broken the state meet record on Thursday night (47.90)

* The team of Brandon James, Dominic Baldwin, Monty Randall, and Jacob Frigard win the 200y Medley Relay with a time of 1:32.03

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS - Women's

* DVC finishes 3rd behind Orange Coast and Santa Rosa.  Santa Rosa won the state championship by 25 points despite only having two event wins.  

* Kelsey Leonard sets a state meet record in the 200y freestyle prelims with a mark of 1:50.19, winning her 5th state gold medal in her two years at Diablo Valley.  

* Leonard picks up her 6th gold medal in the Women's 200 Butterfly as she etches her name among the top female swimmers in California CC history.  

* The team of Kelsey Leonard, Laura Woods, Callie Klein, and Hannah Dillon edged Orange Coast for the Women's 400 Freestyle Relay title.
