4th quarter push isn't enough to defeat the Rams
The Vikings were defeated by the City College of San Francisco Rams, 22-14 on Saturday afternoon.
The Rams scored early in the 1st quarter when Christian Willi caught a 48 yard pass from Ethan Bullock. Dominik Soos' kick was good which put the Rams up, 7-0.
The Vikings held the rams scoreless the rest of the half. The Rams would score in the 3rd quarter on a 37 yard field goal by Soos, making the score 10-0 going into the 4th quarter.
The Vikings would score first in the 4th quarter when Dwayne Alatini had a 16 yard fumble recovery for a touchdown, making the score 10-7, Rams with 14:45 left in the game.
With 5:19 left in the game, Nic Visser would hit Tyrell Sturges with a 8 yard TD pass and the Vikings would take the lead, 14-10.
The Rams would driver 96 yards in 55 seconds to score on a 2 yard pass by Ethan Bullock with 16 seconds left, making the score 14-16 (CCSF's 2-pt conversion attempt failed).
CCSF had a fumble recovery as time ran out to end the game with a TD, making the final score 14-22.
The Vikings (3-4 overall), are home this week, taking on College of San Mateo on Friday, November 1st at 7:00pm.
