Swimming State Championship Results:
Men - 2nd place
Brandon James – State MVP
State outstanding performance
2 national/state records
1 state record member of 400 medley relay
Broke 17 year old record by over 4 seconds
Women - 3rd place
Kelsey Leonard – State MVP
State outstanding performance
2 state records
Rick Millington and his coaching staff are once again the Coaches of the Year!
Softball Super Regionals:
Softball ended their 32-11 season with a 10-2 loss to rival Delta College after beating West Valley College in round two of the Super Regionals held at College of San Mateo.
Nicole Nordahl named 1st Team All-NorCal @ Pitcher
Ashley Allen named 1st Team All-State @ Shortstop (Accepted an athletic scholarship to CSU East Bay)
Cynthia Duenas named 1st Team All-Big 8 @ 1st Base
Amber Golini named 2nd Team All-Big 8 @ 2nd Base
Tennis:
Men and Women's Tennis teams both qualified for the CCCAA Team Regionals.
Jeffrey Jaymot was named JuCo Assistant Coach of the Year for Region 1 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Vaughn Asuncion, sophomore from Concord, was honored by the ITA with the Arthur Ashe award for Leadership & Sportsmanship.
Chelsea Corby (Women's Singles) made the deepest run of any Viking in the 115th annual Ojai Valley Tournament, making it to round of 32 out of 128.
Roy Eldred/Vaughn Asuncion (Men's Doubles) and Karla Guerrero/Chelsea Corby (Women's Doubles) both made it to the round of 32.
Baseball:
Jake Villa -- 2 sport athlete (Football and Baseball) was selected as a First Team All-Conference Outfielder
