Ernie Cecaci | DVC Baseball Coach for 19 years, compiled a 337-313 record. Led Vikings to their only state title in school history in 1977. Former wrestling, volleyball and football coach at DVC. In- ducted into CCCBCA Hall of Fame.
Chris Karsten | Highest scoring player in DVC Women’s Basketball history (1979-1981). Also played softball for two years at DVC; 1981 GGC Basketball MVP. Played at SF State; scored 40+ points in three straight games as a senior.
Rally Rounsaville | Former All-Golden Gate Conference Player (1958-1960) in both Baseball and Basketball. Averaged 20.3 ppg in his sophomore basketball year. In- ducted into the Antioch Hall of Fame in 2007. All-American Basketball Player at Cal-Poly SLO.
Steve Sanchez | Two-time All-American wres- tler and All-Golden Gate Conference defensive back (football) at DVC (1967-1969). Inducted into the Antioch Hall of Fame in 2007. Transferred to Portland State University; graduated and played both sports at PSU Western Regional Wrestling Champion for PSU. 1978 National High School Wrestling Coach of the Year.
Benji Simonton | DVC Outfielder who became 1st California Community College Baseball player ever to be named National JC Player of the Year (1992). All- American who led the State in HR (22) and RBI (76). Played for sever- al seasons in San Francisco Giants minor league system. Selected to DVC’s All-Half Century Baseball team.
Ron Turner | Former All-American DVC Wide Receiver who went on to be head coach at San Jose State and the University of Illinois; two stints as the Chicago Bears’ Offensive Coordinator. 2001 Big Ten Coach of the Year at Illinois.
Greg Walker |California State and National High Jump and Long Jump Champion for DVC in both 1995 and 1996. Transferred to UC Berkeley. Olympic Trials qualifier in both 2000 and 2004.
Dionna Ward | Outside hitter in Women’s Volleyball; who was All-Golden Gate Conference selection in both 1986- 1987. Golden Gate Conference Co-MVP and All-NorCal selection in 1987.
