Important Steps for Early Start for Athletes at DVC Summer 2019

 Step 1: Apply for the Summer 2019 term. Go to www.dvc.edu/apply , then Enroll as a High School Student and click on the link which says “CCC Apply.”  Create an account and save all information including username and password.  

• Fill out and submit your DVC application online. Make sure that you apply for the Summer 2019 semester and select “Enrolling in high school and college at the same time” so that you can enroll in the spring athletic counseling sessions as noted below.

Step 2: Orientation. After receiving a Student ID number, complete the DVC online orientation and quiz before taking the assessments.  Visit www.dvc.edu/orientation and login using your Insite Portal username and password.

Step 3: Assessment Placement Process.  Please attempt to join your high school during DVC’s outreach event on your campus or at the DVC or San Ramon campus.  If you are unable to attend that day, visit www.dvc.edu/assessment and scroll down to the green bar that reads “Enter Multiple Measures Transcript Information.”  Have your high school transcript with you when completing this form.

You may have completed this step already if DVC’s Assessment Center staff came to your high school before March  

The orientation as well as the English and math assessments process must be completed prior to enrolling in the counseling session.

Step 4:          After assessments enroll in one of the COUNS-096/KNICA-098 paired classes below:
